014 Business Bay Dubai, UAE, is a 22-story building also known as the Swiss Cheese Tower. This commercial tower is connected to a two-story podium. It consists of a unique ground-floor network of stores, 27,871 sqm of office space, and four levels of underground parking.

It is covered in a 40-centimeter-long exoskeleton that has 1,300 openings. The windows and façade are separated by one meter, allowing cold air from below to enter and hot air to rise.

This tower has received numerous awards for its distinctive architectural design, including the Emporis Skyscraper Award in 2009 and the ACEC National Honor Award for Excellence in Engineering Design in 2010. It also received the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s Best Tall Buildings Award for the Middle East and Africa.
